CHILD AND
ADOLESCENT THERAPIST POSITION
Toccoa Clinic Medical
Associates, LLP is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for the
Department of Pediatrics. Applicant
will work children, adolescents and their families providing outpatient
clinical therapy for a wide variety of emotional and behavioral disorders. This full-time salaried position
offers benefits and a Monday – Friday work week with no on-call. This
opportunity, which allows for some flexibility of schedule depending on the
needs of the clients, is similar to private practice without the administrative
responsibilities.
Position Duties:

Provide individual and/or family counseling to
children and adolescents with diverse mental and behavioral health challenges.
·
Maintain appropriate clinical paperwork for
client care.
·
Collaborate with clinic medical staff as well
as outside agencies as needed (i.e. DFCS, DJJ, School Staff, Children’s
Advocacy Center, etc.) to help ensure appropriate continuum of care for
clients.
·
Provide clinical reviews as needed to
insurance companies to ensure appropriate services and reimbursement.
Applicant Requirements/ Education/Experience:
·
Applicant must possess a Masters Degree in Social
Work and full clinical licensure in the state of Georgia.
·
The ideal candidate will have experience working
with children and adolescents and will possess strong individual and family clinical
skills. Group counseling skills
and experience would be a plus.
·
Experience teaching parenting skills and
guiding families in implementing effective behavior management plans is
necessary.
·
Specialized training working with trauma, EMDR
training, Cognitive Behavioral Techniques, play therapy, or other creative
and effective modalities is a plus.
·
Must have strong relational skills,
communication and writing skills.
